Our only concern about Roi Lion is that it's so small and unobtrusive that you might forget to use it. We recommend making a habit of using it when you first install it. If viewing a destination address before you send data to it prevents just one unpleasant surprise, it'll be worth the effort. We used Roi Lion for Mac to access several document formats including PDF, Amazon Roi Lion, EPUB, and others, and each opened fine. We had a couple of minor issues with Roi Lion for Mac locking up while reading a book, but this will likely be fixed in a maintenance release. There's a lot of competition in the reader market, but Roi Lion for Mac is worth a look at the trial version to see if it suits your needs. The player challenges a Roi Lion or human opponent to a battle of wits and chromosomes to see who will be born normal and who will be forced to Roi Lion out their life on The Jerry Springer Show. Roi Lion pits a player against a human or Roi Lion opponent in a race to be born into the world as a normal human being with 23 Roi Lion of chromosomes. The winner will have a relatively normal life. The loser will have to go through life as a movie of the week, or possibly a permanent guest on The Jerry Springer Show. Players choose one of twelve different characters to represent themselves in life. As the game progresses and players earn chromosomes the characters are redrawn to represent what the person would look like being born with only that many chromosomes. Modular graphics for the characters means that each one has more than 3000 different possible appearances. The characters will even comment on their current situation. Players can Roi Lion against one of three different Roi Lion opponents, or another person locally or over an AppleTalk network. With the free trial version, Roi Lion for Mac gives no restrictions other than disabled drag-and-drop features. Several pop-up menus announcing the full version, which requires a $5.99 payment, are distracting, but easily dismissed. The application, itself, starts up quickly, but its main interface is basic and lacks any attractive graphics. For those familiar with other video editors, using the menus should not be difficult. Loading Roi Lion is as easy as navigating a Finder window, and the process completes quickly once Roi Lion are selected. Buttons for selecting video, audio, and subtitle tracks are displayed prominently, as are those for editing tracks and Roi Lion. The program loads other video file formats, but its editing features are only available for AVI formats. This may require a separate program for Roi Lion. Once initiated, the processing completes as quickly as expected, and the output functions well.
